1. How much does it cost?
I charge $4.25 per page for the design fee PLUS the cost of the book.
If the design is strictly “Clean & Modern” the design fee costs $4 per page PLUS the cost of the book.
Cost of the Book - Every book I offer varies greatly in base cost, therefore to receive an accurate quote you need to either fill out the form on the Pricing Page or send me an email with the information requested on the pricing page.
2. How long does it take?
Design Time - This can depend on a few of different factors:
• How many photos you send me and/or how many pages are to be designed.
• If the photos require editing or sorting.
• How many design alterations you request.
**On average the books can be designed within 1 week. Up to two weeks if it is a larger project.
Manufacturing of your book:
 • The Classic Books take up to 6 business days to be bound.
• The Zookbook Line can take up to 2 weeks to be bound.
Shipping time:
• This depends on where you are located and which shipping option you prefer.
3. How do I send you my photos?
I require your photos in their highest resolution either on a CD or DVD or you can now send large files over the internet for free on sites like wetransfer.com or filemail.com.
4. How do we get started?
Once we have established all the necessities for your book(s), I require your images in their highest resolution either in CD from or sent over the internet, the completed order form (which I will send to you in an email) and 50% down payment. Once I have received those three items I can then get started designing your book.
5. How much is shipping?
This depends on what book(s) you choose (based on weight) and where you are located.
6. Where do you ship to?
I ship worldwide.
7. Where are the books made?
The books are designed by me in Canada. The Classic Books are bound in the US and Netherlands. The Zookbook Line is bound in the US.
8. How much are additional duplicate books?
Additional duplicate books cost close to the wholesale (base) cost of the book. Classic books are approximately 70% off the original book price. Additional premium books from the Zookbook Line can be calculated once a quote is given.
9. Can I get a different type of duplicate book? Such as I get a ZOOK BOOK for myself and give my family members a less expensive and smaller Photo Book from the Zookbook line or a Classic Book?
Yes you can swap between types of books as long as the sizes can correspond between eachother. Such as you can get a square 10X10 ZOOK BOOK and give your family any other book I offer in a square size, such as a 6X6 Photo Book or 7X7 Classic Book.
You can also swap between sizes within the same type of book as long as the sizes correspond between eachother, such as all different size squares.
10. What type of Photo Editing do you offer and how much does it cost?
If your photos require editing I will professionally remove any blemishes, brighten and bring out the colours, vibrancy and clarity. Changing of photos to black/white, sepia or infrared is free.
** I always include a selection of photos that require basic retouching for free in your project**
• Basic Retouching (colour/lighting/clarity ect.) = $2.25 per photo
• Cosmetic Retouching (remove blemishes/improve complexion/thinning ect.) = $3.75 per photo
• Complex (removing items/person from photo ect.) = $12 per photo
11. What do you mean by "Sorting of Images" and how much does it cost?
Sorting of photos means if you send me ALL of your photos (above and beyond what you want to include in your book) and I sort and pick which photos to use in your album. This requires additional time and is priced per photo. I encourage you to remove any blooper photos, duplicates and photos that you do not want in the book. Sorting usually costs between 8-10 cents per photo that you send me.
12. What is the main difference between the Classic Books and the Zookbook Line?
The Classic Books have regular "floppy" paper whereas all of the books in the Zookbook Line have stiff lay-flat heavy card-stock pages, either Flush Mount or the image printed directly on the card-stock paper.
The Classic Books only come with Photo Cover options, whereas the Zookbook Line has the option of Premium Cover options such as Leather, Leather Spine, Leather with Cameo or Wraparound Photo Cover.
13. What are the main differences between the four books in the Zookbook Line?
Paper: The Photo Book has Lay-flat 12pt card-stock paper; Photo Book PLUS has 14pt lay-flat cardstock paper; Lustre Book has 16pt Flush Mount lay-flat pages with square corners; ZOOK BOOK has 16pt Flush Mount lay-flat pages with rounded corners and gilded edges.
Cover Options: The Photo Book only has the option of a Photo Cover/Wraparound Cover whereas the three other books have Premium Cover options such as Leather, Leather Spine/back, Leather with Cameo or Photo Cover.
Price: All of the factors above plus additional features of these albums result in a range of prices. The Photo Book is the least expensive, then Photo Book PLUS, then Lustre Book, and then the ZOOK BOOK.
14. Do the lay-flat books have a gutter (a space in the center of the two pages)?
No. They all have the option for a seamless gutter (absolutely no space in the center) resulting in a perfectly seamless spread across the two pages of your book. Perfect for two-page spreads of one photo!
15. Do you have a rush option?
Yes I offer a rush option for the designing of your book. Classic Books do not have a rush option for the binding of the book but have expedited shipping. The Zookbook Line has a Rush option for only the ZOOK BOOK.
There is an additional charge for Rush Orders.
16. Can you work within a budget?
Yes I can definitely work within a budget.
